This years' Festival also sees the return of the "just for fun" competitions for the Balloonists (the emphasis on fun so expect some discretionary Rule Changes by the Balloon Meister), plus prizes for Land Landowners.

Courtesy of Philip Tomlins Funeral Directors, The Leys, Evesham, this year there will be two landowner prizes, first prize will be a Hamper and second prize a Box of Wine, as balloons land the pilots and their crew will ask the permission of the landowner to retrieve their balloons, the landowner cards are then entered into a free prize draw.

For the Balloonists, there be competitions such as the "Hare & Hounds", the "Shortest Flight & Return to the Launch Field", as well as a "Lucky Dip", with the Asparagus and Oakfield Mushrooms Balloon Cups being competed for over the weekend for some "Balloonist Goodies", kindly donated by Cameron Balloons, the Oakfield Balloon Team and the Event Organisers.

As the Balloon Festival is heavily involved with the Asparagus Festival in support of the Festival look out for the Asparagus logos on their baskets.
