Local Top Bands Reach for the "Skies" at the Evesham Balloon Festival 2011

 

Not only is the Evesham Balloon Festival a key date in the Events Diary for the area it has also become a key date for local bands. This year the event has an amazing line up of 11 local bands, featuring

§ Fighting Shadows, Balloon Festival debutants, a 4 piece acoustic rock, mix of originals and covers;

§ Keep The Change a new young original pop punk trio;

§ Touch, a young local band 'good time' original, if you like Kiss and Van Halen, you'll love em!

§ Bang Bang Billie a female fronted local band from soul to modern classics;

§ The Marabooboo Allstars, from 80's to 00's with The Boo Boo's, Evesham's top covers band;

§ Ra Ra and The Vine Project, a young female fronted band, originals and the odd cover following up last year's Balloon fest debut;

§ Fifteen English Pounds featuring Classic Rock covers from the singing Landlord and his bunch of Merry men;

§ Into The Fire, Indie Pop rock originals from another 'New' Evesham band;

§ The Road Hogs playing more classic covers, the Hogs are our overseas guests, jetting in from Coventry!

§ Crazy 88's a popular local covers band, returning for their second Balloon Festival. an interesting mix of faves and

§ KTO formerly Kathleen Turner Overdrive who aims to Rock your socks off...

This together with the famous Night Glow and fireworks on Saturday night, a fun fair, classic cars, hovercraft rides, street markets and of course not forgetting the mass balloon launches (weather permitting) ensures that Crown Meadow Evesham is defiantly the place to be on the 4th and 5th June.
